Woodbury Dance Studio, Woodbury, Devon

Woodbury Dance Studio is a small dance school located in Woodbury, near Exeter, Devon. Its founder and director is Mary Griffiths who was the founding artistic director of the Hong Kong Ballet. Mary is a Royal Academy of Dance qualified and registered teacher.

At Woodbury Dance Studio, students follow the examination system of the RAD whereby if a student progresses well, they can expect to take an exam every eighteen months or so.
Students may join from the age of under three through all ages up to and including adult.

In addition to following the RAD grade syllabus, more advanced students may follow the Major Syllabus which will enable them, if successful, to become full members of the Royal Academy of Dance. Contemporary dance is also studied, while adult classes include modern jazz, contemporary and ballet.

Performances
There is usually a Show every year and most students are involved. Please look at the photos in our gallery section. Our next Show will be a new ballet performed to music by Shostakovich at the Manor Pavilion, Sidmouth on Saturday, April 5th 2008.
